GRAND CABLE Hosts Contractor Representative for Congo (Brazzaville) Distribution Project Visit and Secures Formal Order

Today, contractor representative for the 30kV distribution network project in the Republic of the Congo, visited GRAND CABLE's manufacturing facility in Jiangsu, China. The purpose of the visit was to conduct an on‑site assessment of the factory's production capacity, quality management system, and product testing procedures, with a view to establishing technical mutual trust for future cooperation.

During the visit, we toured the conductor production workshops, testing laboratories, and finished goods storage areas, gaining detailed insight into GRAND CABLE's manufacturing processes and quality control procedures for aluminum‑alloy conductors. The outcomes of the inspection were highly satisfactory, with the client representative offering positive feedback on the factory's equipment standards, site management, and product consistency.

Just days after the visit, GRAND CABLE received a formal purchase order from the client for the supply of 117 mm² Almelec aluminum‑alloy conductors, to be used in the 30kV distribution network project in the Republic of the Congo. The project's ultimate owner is Société Nationale d'Électricité (SNE) , the national power utility of Congo, and forms an important part of the country's public distribution grid upgrade and rehabilitation. Almelec conductors, widely used in overhead transmission lines under the French standard system, offer good electrical conductivity and weather resistance, and are commonly deployed in power transmission and distribution infrastructure projects across French‑speaking African countries.

The rapid progression from client visit to order placement reflects GRAND CABLE's practical efficiency in international market development. The trust established through the factory visit provides a solid foundation for subsequent batch supply and project execution.

Discussions are currently ongoing between both parties regarding advance payment arrangements and the corresponding delivery schedule. Formal production scheduling will commence in accordance with the contract terms upon receipt of the advance payment. The goods are expected to be delivered to the Congo project site via the port of Pointe‑Noire.
