Project News:
GRAND CABLE has recently signed a supply agreement with a South Korean company specializing in communication engineering. Under the agreement, GRAND CABLE will provide high-performance AACSR conductors for the VLF transmitter replacement project of the ROK Navy, supporting the construction and upgrade of critical communication infrastructure. This collaboration marks a significant recognition of GRAND CABLE's technical expertise in the field of specialty conductors in the international high-end market.
The project is part of the ROK Navy's core communication system modernization efforts, primarily involving the renovation of VLF transmitting antenna systems. VLF communication is a vital means for submarines to maintain contact with shore-based command centers, imposing stringent requirements on the electrical performance, mechanical strength, and environmental durability of antenna materials. The AACSR (aluminum-alloy-clad steel reinforced) conductors supplied by GRAND CABLE offer excellent tensile strength, superior electrical conductivity, and outstanding resistance to salt spray corrosion. These characteristics make them particularly suitable for long-span overhead installation in coastal, high-salinity environments, fully meeting the specific operational demands of naval base communication antennas.
As the system integrator, the South Korean partner conducted rigorous evaluations of product quality, delivery capability, and technical standards during the supplier selection process. GRAND CABLE stood out among multiple competitors due to its stable manufacturing processes, comprehensive quality management system, and extensive experience in specialty conductor production. A representative from GRAND CABLE stated, "Being able to participate in the upgrade of a critical naval communication facility for the ROK Navy is a strong testament to our product quality and technical capabilities. We remain committed to high manufacturing standards and strive to provide reliable, durable cable solutions to customers worldwide."
In recent years, GRAND CABLE has been actively expanding its international presence, exporting products to numerous countries and regions across sectors such as power transmission, communication infrastructure, and rail transit. This successful cooperation with the South Korean enterprise further strengthens the company's competitiveness in the global specialty conductor market and builds valuable experience for participating in future international communication and infrastructure projects. The first batch of products is currently in the production preparation phase and will be delivered progressively in accordance with the contract terms.
