Project News:
The federal government of Nigeria has obtained a loan from the Agence Francaise de Developpement (AFD) to expand the power infrastructure in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) through the Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN).
TCN plans to apply a portion of the loan to eligible payments under the contracts and further intends to pre-qualify Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) contractors for the following contracts under this project:
ICB No.: TCN/AFD/EPC-TL 001: Design, manufacture, supply, installation and commissioning of HV Transmission lines.
Lot 1: – Construction of about 143km of new 330kV double circuit line from Lafia 330kV Substation (new) to the proposed New Apo (Pigba) 330/132/33kV Substation.
Lot 2:- Construction of about 81 km of new 132kV double circuit lines, including:
Construction of about 11km of new 132kV double circuit line from new Apo (Pigba) 330/132/33kV substation to Old Apo 132/33kV substation.
Construction of 42km of new 132kV double circuit line from New Apo 330/132/33kV substation to the proposed Kuje 132/33kV substation.
Construction of 29km of new 132kV double circuit line from the proposed Kuje 132/33kV Substation to West Main (Lugbe) 330/132/33V substation.
ICB No.: TCN/AFD/EPC-SS 001: Design, manufacture, supply, installation and commissioning of 330/132/33kV substations.
Lot 3: Construction of 2No. 150MVA, 330/132/33kV substation at New Apo (Pigba) equipped with 2X330kV line bays, 3No. 60MVA 132/33kV transformers including 6 X 132kV line bays with 3 X 132kV line bays extension at Old Apo 132kV Substation and 2x 330kV line bays extension at Lafia.
Lot 4: Construction of complete new 2No. 150MVA, 330/132/33kV AIS substation at West Main (Lugbe) to be equipped with 2 x 330kV line bays, and 3No. 60MVA, 132/33kV Transformers with 132kV outdoor GIS Switchgear including 4X132kV line bays and 33kV indoor metal clad switchgears.
Lot 5: (a) Construction of complete new 3No. 60MVA, 132/33kV substation at Kuje including 4 x 132kV line bays.
(b) Construction of complete new 2No. 60MVA, 132/33kV Substation at Wumba / Lokogoma, to be equipped with 2 X 132kV line bays including laying of 2 x 5km underground 132kV XLPE Cable, from New Apo to Wumba/Lokogoma.
Lot 6: Construction of complete new 2No x 60MVA, 132/33kV GIS substation at Gwarimpa including laying of 4x1km 132kV underground XPLE cable and termination of same on the existing 132KV DC Katampe – Suleja Transmission line.
