In a significant step to strengthen our long-standing partnership, GRAND CABLE was pleased to host a delegation from Master Tec Group Berhad, a renowned cable manufacturer in Malaysia. The visiting team comprised key management figures, including the Heads of the Procurement & Warehousing Department and the Technical Department. This visit marked an important second high-level exchange since our successful collaboration began five years ago.
Today, GRAND CABLE and the Cooperativa de Electricidad Gral Balcarce LDA in Argentina jointly announced the successful final acceptance of a low-voltage aerial insulated cable supply contract signed in June 2025. All products passed rigorous technical tests in the presence of the purchaser's representatives, with all performance metrics fully complying with the technical requirements of the Argentine IRAM standards.
This cooperation commenced in June 2025 when GRAND CABLE formally signed the supply agreement for Pre-assembled Aerial Bundled Conductors (ABC Cables) with the Balcarce Electric Cooperative. This batch of cables will be directly used in the cooperative's power distribution network upgrade and expansion project in the Balcarce area of the Buenos Aires Province, Argentina, which is of great significance for improving the reliability, safety, and power supply quality of the local grid.
On September 15, 2025, at the GRAND CABLE factory in China, representatives from the Balcarce Electric Cooperative witnessed the final inspection and testing of the products on-site. Throughout the acceptance process, technical teams from both sides conducted comprehensive checks on key items such as conductor resistance, insulation thickness, mechanical properties, and electrical strength. The results confirmed that all cable products supplied by GRAND CABLE fully met, and in some aspects exceeded, the stringent Argentine IRAM national standards. The exceptional quality earned high recognition and praise from the Argentine client.
The successful delivery and acceptance mark another significant milestone in GRAND CABLE's expansion into the South American market. It not only demonstrates GRAND CABLE's technical prowess and production capability to meet high-end international market standards but also lays a solid foundation for future collaboration with other utility companies in Argentina and across South America.
