Sri Lanka's power developer visit to Grand Cable

Ceylex Renewables, a prominent Sri Lankan power development company, recently visited Grand Cable's facilities for a technical exchange and potential collaboration on its upcoming 20MW onshore wind power project. The discussions centered on the possible supply of high-quality 33KV ABC (Aerial Bundled Cables), AAAC (All Aluminum Alloy Conductors), and GSW (Guyed Steel Wire) ground wires for the initiative.

Ceylex Renewables has established itself as a key player in Sri Lanka's renewable energy sector, focusing on sustainable power generation through wind, solar, and hydro projects. The 20MW onshore wind farm, currently under development, aligns with Sri Lanka's goal of increasing renewable energy capacity to 70% by 2030. The project is expected to significantly contribute to the nation's energy transition while reducing carbon emissions.

During the visit, Ceylex Renewables' delegation toured Grand Cable's production facilities and engaged in in-depth discussions on technical specifications, project timelines, and supply chain logistics. Grand Cable, a trusted manufacturer of high-performance power transmission and distribution solutions, showcased its expertise in producing reliable and durable cables and conductors suitable for wind energy applications.

The potential partnership underscores Grand Cable's growing influence in international renewable energy markets. Supplying critical components for Ceylex Renewables' wind farm would further solidify the company's reputation as a key enabler of sustainable energy infrastructure in South Asia.

As both companies move forward with feasibility assessments, a formal agreement is expected in the coming months. If finalized, the collaboration will not only support Sri Lanka's renewable energy ambitions but also reinforce Grand Cable's position as a preferred supplier for global wind power projects.
